Movie information and pricing
Each movie on our site is presented with a summary of the movie's main topics and themes. We also provide cast and crew information, an editorial description of the movie, reviews, notes and technical information relating to the DVD version. Each film will display a "Find Lowest Price" link to put you in touch with the best deals available on the Internet for that particular product.

Saving films in a personal list
To keep a personal record of films you find, press the "+ save item" button that appears with each movie. The movie title will be added to "My Saved Items" -- where you can always come back to the movies you saved. We do not install cookies that last past your browsing session. Therefore it's a good idea to sign up to save your list for future visits. Simple instructions will be provided for you as you go along.

Navigation
Our movie lists can be quite long. To help you browse through them we created "Next Film" and "Previous Film" buttons. When you reach the bottom of a list you will be sent back to the top. At any point feel free to visit other lists (topics).

DVD ideas offers a unique navigation experience that revolves around grouping movies by topics and themes. The most simple way to work through it is just to start, but we'll explain anyway: There are 3 areas where you can select topics and review relevant movie listings: (a) The topics navigation bar right below the site's logo. We use this bar to show a selection of some of our most visited topics. Topics in this bar are grouped in families. (b) The All Topics page includes all the topics featured on the website. It is one of our most viewed pages and is accessible through a link at the top of any page on the site. "All Topics" is like a site map where you can look for interesting topics and browse through relevant film suggestions. You can use your browser's "search" option to locate specific topics fast, such as a name of a country or any other keyword. (c) Each movie on the site includes a brief summary of the main topics and themes presented in that movie. Click any of these to navigate to a different topic.

Sorting filter
All our movie lists include a sorting filter ("Sort by Movie Genre") that allows you to choose to view only the type of movie you are most interested in. The selection is between general movie genres such as Drama, Suspense, Comedy, Documentary etc.

Search
DVD ideas is dedicated to providing tools that relate to the subjects and contents of films. That's why we are the only DVD site that features search inside movie description text. Our search box is on the right hand column. By default it is set to searching movie titles (the most common use for most our customers). However, by selecting the box under the search field you can pick to search in "Film Descriptions". This engine will go through the description text of all the movies currently featured on DVD ideas and bring back the films that include the search term you entered.

Our movie collection
We are not a simple all-in movie database. We use human editorial factors to decide which films are included in this website. Our objective is to point you to movies that will be worth your time and money.
